Written by Sarah, Jack's mother, over the next two weeks, Jack underwent numerous tests, including biopsies, MIBG scans, CT scans, bone marrow aspiration, and a Hickman line fitted, ready for treatment on the 15th of February. Upon receiving all results, we were called to the hospital for the official diagnosis: stage 4 high-risk neuroblastoma. Our lives changed instantly, with Jack facing a long road ahead, including intense chronological treatment, surgery to remove the primary tumor, high-dose treatment, stem cell rescue, radiation therapy, and immunotherapy. This treatment reduces the risk of relapse and improves Jack's chances of survival. While some may think raising the required amount is impossible, we urge you to consider what you would do if this were your child. We won't give up and will do everything possible.
