- The Askar 80ED is designed with three imaging accessories: a 0.7x reducer, a 0.85x reducer, and a 1.0x flattener. Users can choose the appropriate accessory based on their needs when capturing objects with the 80ED.
- The 0.85x reducer lowers the Askar 80ED to f/6. This is a standard reducer with field-flattening correction. It adopts a triplet lens design, including one piece of ED glass, optimized for the APS-C frame. It weighs 0.44 kg.
- The back focus is a standard 55mm from the M48 threaded surface. The rear-end adapter has a built-in M48×0.75 2-inch filter thread, allowing direct filter attachment.
- It integrates a 360° camera rotator for convenient framing during imaging. The entire unit is CNC-machined and comes with threaded metal caps on both ends to prevent dust when not in use.
- The shorter focal ratio provides a wider field of view and faster exposure times, making it ideal for capturing large nebulae, star clusters, and faint, fast-moving celestial objects.
