Take advantage of our engineering with the 1.4x optic glass that is used to make up the focal flange distance difference between the lens and camera (distance between the lens flange and film/sensor plane). This corrective lens in our adapter allows an older lens to properly focus to infinity on the newer camera body*. M42 Lens Compatibility Note: This adapter is ‘Type 2’ which means it works with M42 lenses that have no aperture control from the aperture ring and require a pin on the rear of lens to be depressed in order to engage the aperture ring. This adapter also works with select ‘Type 1’ M42 lenses that have no pins or tabs on the rear of lens. This is a manual adapter, so lens functions that rely on electronic communication with the camera body (autofocus, AE metering, image stabilization, etc.) will be disrupted. We state “infinity focus allowed” because our adapters are designed to be universal which can prevent some lenses from focusing to infinity at the infinity mark. Set your camera to “Manual’ or ‘Aperture Priority’ for metering. If camera does not release be sure to enable ‘shoot without lens’ in camera settings. All pictures are for illustration purposes only.
