The bottom butterfly is the Cruiser or Vindula arsinoe butterfly, which can be found in the Maluku Islands and New Guinea to the Solomon Islands and Queensland. Their average wingspan is 80-95mm (3.5 in).
The top butterfly is the Peacock Pansy or Junonia almana butterfly which can be found in South Asia and Cambodia. Their average wingspan is 54–62 mm (2.1–2.4 in).
It’s in a floating frame display which consists of plastic and PET film, not glass. The elastic transparent film is thick, and it’s stronger than you’d think.
The frame is 7x7 inches.
NOTE: With these frames, the butterfly is suspended between two layers of PET film (not GLASS or acrylic) so you can see both the front and back.. With the frailty of the butterflies, care will need to be taken to avoid damage to the specimen by touching the film. Handling these items by the plastic frame is recommended.
It is also recommended to keep out of direct sunlight to limit fading of the butterflies over time.
