This is a 5th generation 30GB iPod (MA146J) that has been upgraded with a 128GB SD card.
Basic functionality has been confirmed. The battery is brand new.
It will be shipped with the case open.
All functions except restoration work without issue. However, restoration requires a special procedure, so it is being sold as defective. Please purchase only if you understand this. This is due to the adapter specifications. It will be shipped after restoration is complete.
- Normal restoration will result in an infinite restoration loop.
- Follow these steps to restore without issue:
1) Connect to a PC and begin the restoration process.
2) Disconnect the iPod and remove the SD card. Connect the card to the PC using a card reader.
3) Use the freeware Disk Editor Victoria HDD/SDD to change the first byte to 00.
4) Reinsert the SD card into the iPod and connect it to the AC adapter. It will restore normally.
