The Muxlab Digital Audio Extender Kit (500086) is a versatile digital audio standards converter and extender. The product allows you to connect one (1) digital coaxial (S/PDIF) or digital optical (TOSLINK) source to a digital audio receiver that supports digital coaxial (S/PDIF) or digital optical (TOSLINK) inputs. The outputs on the 500086 receiving unit are simultaneous. The audio transmission signal can be distributed up to a distance of 500'/150m in a point-to-point configuration over a single Cat5e/6. The extender supports most standards for transmitting two channels of uncompressed lossless PCM audio or compressed 5.1/7.1 surround sound, such as Dolby Digital Plus or DTS-HD High Resolution Audio (Dolby Digital 5.1 multi-channel digital audio, DTS and Dolby True HD).
