Conceived as a long-distance runner by Bill Bowerman in 1972, the Nike Cortez originally debuted with an all-leather upper, followed by nylon models. This Nylon Prem QS rendition, released as part of September 2013's 'Quilted Pack,' takes the design a step further with diamond-shaped stitching on its nylon Squadron Blue upper. At the bottom, a dual-density foam sole rides above a herringbone-treaded sole.
