These detailed pair of antique German Piano Baby sculptures are in very good condition. They were used as ornamentation on pianos in the late 19th Century.
The pair are shown seated in playful positions wearing yellow dresses that have gilded bead-like texture with blue ruffled trim and pink ribbons and butterflies. The base sits flat on your surfaces. The hair is blond and tussled and the eyes are life-like and blue. Smiling expressions shows baby teeth that look real.
A bit of wear shown on the underside of the feet and calf where it touches the surface is present.
Would look great in a baby’s room on a shelf or curio cabinet.
