Nice hefty (105 grams, almost 1/4lb) rough/raw chunk of rutilated quartz with host rock on one side (the host rock is a thin layer only and most of the weight of the specimen is quartz). Measures approximately 2 1/4 x 2" x 1 1/2".
You can actually see the rutile coming out of the bottom all the way through the host rock. Has a good amount of rutile, (black mica or hematite?) inclusions, and a couple beautiful rainbows. A very nice specimen if you're looking to add a piece of rutilated quartz to your collection/display.
Also, for metaphysical users of crystals, the rutile is thought to add many properties to the powers of quartz alone, including enhancing psychic abilities and intuition, and being a highly energizing crystal, stimulating and balancing all chakras especially the solar plexus and crown.
