The playmat has a soft Hello Kitty in the center that makes crinkle sounds when babies touch it. It has a mirror for babies to look at themselves in. Babies can also try to grab Hello Kitty's bow, the bird's wings, and the leaf on the apple.
The mat is for newborns enough but you use this when your baby is ready to start tummy time. It's on the small side so your baby would most likely only be resting part of their body on it and if the baby is rolling over he or she would roll off of this mat.
