Serviced and tested (with issues) ⭐ Canon Demi EE17 ⭐ White-based leatherette ♪

Canon Demi EE17
The flagship model of the Demi series.
A film camera from over 60 years ago, it's a half-frame camera.
Half-frame cameras have a smaller format size, so a 36-exposure film will yield 72 shots.

It uses a shutter-speed priority EE system, so the photographer sets the shutter speed, and the aperture value is automatically determined.

[Appearance]
・Has some scratches and dirt commensurate with age, but is generally clean.
・The leatherette has been replaced with white-based cowhide.
・Light seals have also been replaced.

[Operation]
・Completely disassembled, cleaned, lubricated, and reassembled.
・Shutter and self-timer function well.
・Film counter operation confirmed.
・Exposure meter functions correctly.
Compared with my digital camera, the LUMIX FZ1000,
it seemed to be almost accurate.
・The aperture value changes when the shutter speed dial is moved.
・The rewind lever returns slowly during rewind.
(It returns properly with split winding.)

[Optics]
・The lens was replaced with a cleaner one after actual shooting confirmation.
・The viewfinder has been cleaned and is in good condition.

[About Actual Shots]
These were taken in late November 2025.
The film used was Marrix AirColor 100, and after development, the images were digitized to a CD-R at approximately 24 megapixels and imported to a PC for cropping.
The film was shot at ISO 50→100→200 and placed side by side.
These were taken when the lens had many scratches, but it still seemed fine.
Since the lens has been replaced, even better photos can be taken.

[Accessories]
Camera body
Batteries (625G): Both a test battery and a new one are included.

The original leatherette color was black, but it has been changed to white-based cowhide for a French look.
The rewind lever returns slowly, so the price has been reduced.

Shooting modes include shutter-speed priority EE, full manual, and bulb.
