This is the funniest show on the face of the earth.
Sarah takes all the hits, playing a self-oriented person with very nice sister, a selfless nurse, her brother-in-law Jay, and neighbors Steve and Bryan, who support each other through life and being caught up in Sarah's ill-thought out shenanigans. Of course, for the record, Sarah Silverman the person -in real life- generously supports all the causes her character is such a dork about.
I honestly must admit that I have never laughed so hard sober as watching this show. In fact, if you are getting sober (which I am not, but if you are) this would be a way to go. This is a parody, if not of the ugly American, then.. well, yes, it's a parody of selfish Americans. If you have to de-construct humor, it's not funny. Long live the cast of The Sarah Silverman Program!
