“This perfectly burnished ring has a clear, bright diamond at it’s center, and a lovely x-star shaped cutout beneath. Clearly stamped on the outside of the band are two hallmarks: one, an eagle’s head which since 1838 in France has represented an item that is made of a minimum of 18k gold. There’s a second hallmark too- the gold band is so burnished that it’s hard to make out, but we think it’s the weevil (!) which means this ring was imported. Fascinating.”
it was hard to capture the eagle head mark in photos but it's much clearer in person!
Purchased from Erica Weiner. erica weiner correspondence added to photos. vintage domed 18k gold and diamond ring. great as a separate or for stacking. size 7.25. Has unique vintage details as outlined in the email from EW. .19 carat diamond. reminds me of brands like #merjuri and #j.hannah has one almost identical great dome shape and is very sturdy demi signet.
