Important: Break-In Period Required New brake pads require a break-in period to reach peak performance. This applies to all brands and disc types. You may notice reduced braking power initially—this is normal. Ride for approximately 20km while frequently applying the brakes to complete the bedding-in process. If you are also installing new rotors, the break-in period will be longer.
